This session will explore the complexities of deploying autonomous vehicles (AVs), focusing on both technological and infrastructural challenges. We are bringing together thought leaders from various sectors, including OEMs, transport authorities, a self-driving software and services provider, and regulators.
Moderated by PAVE Europe (Partners for Automated Vehicle Education), this session will highlight the importance of public understanding and the societal impact of autonomous technology.
We will examine the intricate interplay between society, economics, road infrastructure, and advanced technology. Through in-depth discussions and real-world insights, our goal is to identify the societal, economic, and infrastructural barriers hindering the seamless integration of autonomous vehicles. Key topics include the necessity for major road infrastructure upgrades, the implementation of smart traffic systems, and the development of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication networks.
Our speakers will share their experiences in navigating regulatory environments, fostering public acceptance, and modifying urban infrastructures to support AVs. They will address technological and infrastructural challenges, such as ensuring reliable connectivity, maintaining safety standards, and creating resilient road networks for autonomous operations.
